Our spring-picked Uji Matcha is renowned for its vibrant green color and fresh, delicate flavor. This premium matcha from our partners in the Uji region of Japan, on a 115 year old plantation, which was once a peach farm, offers a smooth, velvety texture with a rich, umami (Japanese for rich, deep broth-like flavor). Tasting notes are sweet, grassy flavor with hints of young, tender leaves and a subtle earthiness. It has a balanced sweetness with a slightly astringent finish, creating a refreshing and invigorating tea experience. The aroma is fresh and fragrant, reminiscent of spring fields and new growth. This is the highest quality Uji Matcha we have found.

Ingredients: Top Grade # 1 Uji, Kyoto Japan spring harvested green tea powder

Instructions: Add 1 teaspoon for 12 ounces, or ¾ teaspoon for 8 ounces FIRST, then add a little steaming, NOT BOILING water and stir or whisk and make a well mixed slurry, finish adding water, add a sweetener, frothed milk or cream for the ultimate matcha latte. Add 1 teaspoons per smoothie for a flavorful and energetic boost.
